About 2 weeks ago I weighed myself and had gained 4 pounds since the last time I weighed myself, but I can't exactly remember how long ago that was... And this morning I weighed myself again and I had gained almost another 2 pounds! I have now gained a total of 15 pounds and I'm 29 weeks tomorrow, but I feel like 6 pounds that quickly is a lot. Should I be concerned? Or is this normal in the third trimester?
Maybe we just gain later than most! I had only gained 9 as far as I knew so when I weighed myself and saw an extra 4 pounds I kinda freaked out that it came so fast! And then another 2... I better watch myself now 😬
yeah I didn't gain anything in the first 20 weeks and then I suddenly gained 5 pounds and now at 30 weeks I've gained a total of 14 pounds @jhussey
Oh good! I just remember reading that rapid weight gain can be a sign of preeclampsia and got super worried when I weighed myself. I go to the doctor on Wednesday so they will check blood pressure and urine to ease my mind, but I just wanted to see what other mamas have experienced! @lizzyamcmahan
Well I was overweight when I started, so I shouldn't gain more than 25... My sister was like your weight when she started and gained like 65 and her doctor wasn't concerned at all. She needed to gain what she did and she lost most of it right away! @nichole_lynn
it's normal I'm the same way I gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks and my doctors say it's normal
Just remember that water weight/bloating, the time of day you weigh, what you've had to eat or drink, and if you've been to the bathroom recently all reflect what you weigh. I had gained two pounds one day and lost three two days later. It's all relative. I wouldn't worry too much.
