if I relied on my husband to pay any of our bills we wouldn't have anything... we have a joint account...I pay all the bills from both our paychecks.

I definitely would... My husband and I both split the bills as well, I'll handle the cable, phone bills, & tolls (I make less than he does every 2 weeks) & he handles rent, car notes, electricity & gas. We both have it set up so that if one needs to transfer between the two of us we can, it works better for us that way. So yes I would if I had it & he could take one of my bills in return

well i get what @ninjam ami is saying but me and my husband have expenses we do alone

i pay the gas electric and the car note Nd he pays cell cable and rent and our carnote isn't cheap either 600 month

Im not tryna be judgemental @babytj0214 i guess people just see it in other ways.. I just personally wouldn't be able to handle being told that my fiancé money was his and his alone and my money wasn't ours together either. We don't even see it as someone's money, a bill needs to get paid it comes from where ever or whoever. Who knows because the money gets combined.

I understand but why don't yall get a joint account and share all the expenses. So it's not I paid this, I paid that argument... I just can't picture not having shared money in a marriage. I'm not working right now and my fiancé literally gives me more than half his check every time he gets paid just to "do what I want" with it. I've never asked for it and I've told him he doesn't need to do that but he still does. He takes less of his check than what he gives me and then he still buys everything when we're out and tells me to hold on to the money I have... @babytj0214

If your married shouldn't your finances be combined and equal.. Why is one paying something and the other paying something? That's just my opinion. My fiance and I have never said "my money or your money" it's always been OUR money and OUR bills.
