So I have a problem where my 3 month old is constantly eating. But this is not like a growth spurt. Late at night and early in the morning i make enough for her to eat but after around 1 its like she cant get enough. This has been going on for more than a week now. She gets really fussy and falls asleep and then when she wakes up shes screaming her head off because shes hungry. My dad suggested that she might be ready for baby food but I cant believe that a 3 month old's stomach would be ready for that because everything i read says that their stomach isnt ready until atleast 6 month. I dont know what to do. Im thinking about taking that fugreek or whatever its called so that i can make more milk for her. Any suggestions? Should i start her on baby food?
@rosalinasmami, the fenugreek was what I was talking about. I've made the lactation cookies before but right now with how she is acting and my 3 year old i havent had time to make more
you can start solids anywhere from 4 months to 6 months. you could try and up your supply you could try and up your supplies to see if it helps I took the fenugreek and it helped me. you have to take at least 3500 mg a day so that's approximately three pills twice a day. there's also something called mother's milk tea what you would drink I believe three times a day and there's lactation cookies eating oatmeal is supposed to help of course staying hydrated. oh and I heard something about drinking Gatorade helps ,not sure about that one but it couldn't hurt to try!
some doctors do recommend to start giving baby food if the baby is like that. make you should let them know what's going on see what they can do for her. my son was like that to but then i found out all he wanted was something suck on so we just started giving him his pacifier and he would go right to sleep.
My son was like that and I started adding oatmeal whenever I would bottle feed him. My milk just doesn't have enough fat in it for him. It has helped him a lot and he's 3 months
