So I haven't been updating on the pregnancy lately because I went in on the 4th for my 38 week ultrasound. And the doctor told be I had to be induced because of my daughter having issues. I was hospitalized Thursday afternoon, they started inducing me around five pm. By six am they started my 2nd half of being induced, by 10 am they gave me my epidural. And four mins later my beautiful baby girl couldn't wait for any doctors. And the nurse delivered her by herself. Our sweet Bethanie Mykah Nadeau was born at 10:20am Feb 5th, 2016 weighing only 5 pounds 14 ounces. She latched on breastfeeding with no issues. we had to stay in the hospital till Sunday. Sunday morning I got woken up from a much needed nap. To find out that the pediatrician on call was making me supplement her with formula. Because she had lost over 10% of her body weight since she was born. So needless to say, since she's been born I haven't had much time to sit back and share my beautiful baby girls arrival. Because I'm so busy with keeping up on her needs. I breastfeed her- then feed her formula thru a syringe - then feed her breast milk that I pump thru a syringe. I am going every week to her pediatrician and wic office to have her naked weight check ups. Last week we went to wic twice in two days and she gained 4 ounces. we take her back to the pediatrician tomorrow for her weigh in, then Wed we go back to wic for a weigh in there. Fingers crossed that she's still gaining weight.
@07jessica, It's alot of work keeping up with the feeding/ pumping. Plus having a two year old, while daddy is working 12-14 hours shifts. But I'm pulling thru it, and so is my baby girl.
Congrats! My daughter was born weighing 5 lbs 7.5 ozs at 39 weeks 4 days. She had to eat small amounts often to get her weight up but everything worked out and she's a normal sized 8 year old now!
