The first midwife I went to for this pregnancy I had to piss in a cup before they would even see me. Which really pissed me off because it's hard for me to pee in a cup especially when I got pee right before my appointment because I hate driving with a full bladder. I switched midwives and they tested me for my first appointment but that's what they do on the first visit and hey don't Piss test after that

They drug test in NH every appointment

yes they drug test, everytime they take my blood they do drug test to all her patient's whether your showing drug symptoms or not.

I have lived in va and NC and neither test until baby is born unless you present symptoms of drug abuse which cannabis does not. my first obgyn even recommended cannabis over zofran. he said to stop at the end of second trimester so it won't be in babies meconium. it saved my daughters life from dying of malnutrition due to hg. I lost five others and didn't smoke at all with them. I continue to use cannabis with this one. though I would suggest tea, tinctures, vaporizer, dabs, edibles or salves. that way there are zero negative effects. the only thing that contributes to low birth weight is oxygen deprivation from the smoke. there was a recent study done in Jamaica of children whose mothers used cannabis during pregnancy. they were monitored from conception to age 5. those in the cannabis group tested normally or actually excelled compared to the control group who did not use cannabis. any studies done in the usa were government funded and only testing mothers who were using other illicit drugs and only looking for negative effects which were inconclusive. I also live in Colorado and am a medicinal patient.

i was tested at the beginning, but i don't know if they tested at all after that ._.

i failed the first one but i quit by the time i was close to my second trimester. most people in texas frown upon cannabis so i didn't wanna chance getting her taken away at birth 😒

Mine test me every time I get blood work done.

im from Colorado and marijuana is legal there but they do test you and if you give birth and test positive for TCH or the baby test positive for it the hospital will child protective services and basically make your life hell for a little bit but they frown upon using while pregnant because they don't know the full affects it has on your baby i wouldn't do it just to save time and be safe

they'll test you and the only thing I've seen about it is it stunts the babies growth and if its in the baby's blood when its born cps will take the baby from you . I smoked weed the whole first trimester for my morning sickness , but I would quit the closer you get to your due date so your baby doesn't pop for it

yup.... they test at first appts.

My OB office does a test every check up all the way up tell the day you have the baby.

in NY they test for every drug possible at your first apt if you fail even with like a hint they walk in the room and straight up tell you we just got of the phone with cps you don't even get a chance to fix what should not have been done . you mess up oops its on you is how they look at it.

Not sure if they do it, but don't be surprised if they find out somehow via blood/urine test & report it.. Especially if it isn't legal in your state... I believe they're required to report it to either DHHS or CPS.. Can't remember which one, but they have to report that kind of stuff.

also in alabama and drug tested randomly

I haven't been drug tested in Utah

yes they do that at ur first one and if fail they will do it every time

I looked at my lab work. (I'm in GA & some states might be different ) My doctor tested for cannabis, opiates, benzoids, and one more thing I can't recall off top.

yep In Alabama they do it at ur first and randomly after that. it's the law over here now.
