First time mom; at my 28 week appt I found out I've gained 26 lbs so far....doctor wants me to maintain weight by cutting out carbs, eating more greens & walk/exercise more.....I've felt so discouraged & disgusting since then...I didn't expect to gain this much so far with my first pregnancy but I'm always hungry!

I'm only 14 weeks and I was 121 a month ago and now I'm 128....

I gained over 60 with my first and second and it came off very quickly! I didn't gain it again until they were in preschool.

tell your doctor to kick rocks. you're still in the normal range and this is when the baby fattens up, so you need to keep eating

I gained a lot of weight too and I'm a FTM. We're doing all this for our baby, cheer up! Go for walks around the neighborhood or park, it'll make you feel a lot better. Or swim if you can.

I went from being 117 pounds before pregnancy to being almost 180 pounds by the time I went into labor. The weight will easily come off after having your little one, especially if you breastfeed :) Even with a C-section, working out will help tone you back up. Don't worry. Gaining is good while pregnant
