So yesterday my MIL and SIL told me that I shouldn't get to have my step son alone because I'm "not his family" then my SIL proceeded to tell me that I wouldn't be family for long because my husband and i wouldn't last. If she wouldn't have had the baby in her arms I would have beat the crap out of her.

if I were you I wouldn't have held my tongue at all. my in laws don't have the balls to tell tell me I can't be around my step kids alone
thanks guys! there won't be a next time because they will not be around my kids once we have kids. No one will speak to me that way and think they get to be around my kids!

He wasn't even home he was at work. but I sure as hell called him and he went over there. I was livid! I've known these people almost 9 years and we've been together a little over a year. I didn't even know what to say! @babybird080316 @summerrye

it's always hard when your the stepmom/dad. if you do or say something wrong,people start to talk. i have 3 stepdaughters,been with my husband going on 4 years, mom has NEVER been around, shouldn't even be called a mother. all she did was just have them but not there for them...you're with your husband for a reason, he made a decision to be with you and knows that his child would be around you even when he's not. they need to accept that. if he wasn't comfortable with you being alone with his child then you wouldn't be around....the life of a step parent -_-
