it's always hard when your the stepmom/dad. if you do or say something wrong,people start to talk. i have 3 stepdaughters,been with my husband going on 4 years, mom has NEVER been around, shouldn't even be called a mother. all she did was just have them but not there for them...you're with your husband for a reason, he made a decision to be with you and knows that his child would be around you even when he's not. they need to accept that. if he wasn't comfortable with you being alone with his child then you wouldn't be around....the life of a step parent -_-
