Ya I tried that and then my son no longer wanted my boob since it was easier to use the bottle then my supply dropped dramatically so my advice is breastfeed as long as possible

That's what we are planning on too. I'm gonna breastfeed as much as possible then try to pump what I can and supplement with formula if need be.

they say after you establish breastfeeding the first month that you can pump and incorporate bottle so dad can help just establish boob first or whatever you want to do it's ultimatly your choice (:

I would suggest pumping when he's with dad to make sure he's only getting breastmilk. they also make a bra type deal for men to "breastfeed" so as not to confuse baby.

also men can lactate as well if you and dad would be comfortable with that concept.

I'd recommend sticking with breastfeeding as much as possible, and pumping for the bottle (so you can keep your supply up and not get engorged). And try to hold off on bottles like @princess_intheoven16 said. Good luck!

oh but also don't wait to long to incorporate bottle after she/he is a month they're still open minded and would wanna take it but after a couple months they may not want it and only want your boob

lol I'm sorry but I had to chime in when I saw the "men can lactate as well" lol yea if that man used to be a woman, otherwise um naw. You should pump that way baby is still getting breastmilk. You would be amazed at the benefits of breast feeding for both you and baby
