I need advise on Cash Aid. I live in San Diego and my unemployment ran out. No Extensions. So I was going ton apply for cash aid at least to help out for a few months. Question is, do they take the money from my boyfriends paycheck.? It would defete the purpose of getting it if they do. Not sure how it works. PLEASE HELP!!

They only take it if you put your child on there. You can get cash aid just for yourself while pregnant.
I spoke to them at the welfare office and she said only way he would have to pay it back is if we broke up and they would take it out of his checks.
And your boyfriend is right they will take money from him or he'd be in debt paying it back
you would have to put him on child support because either way if you get cash aid he'd have to pay every penny back
Unemployment is a different department as disability here's the number 18004803287. But you can also go to the same website where you applied for unemployment to be exact www.edd.ca.gov/disability. Just note that in order to be eligible for disability your Dr has to approve it.

I will have to call unemployment tomorrow and find out. is that where I would go to apply for disability? The same website as unemployment? I tried applying a long time ago because I have fibromyalgia and I got denied. im now high risk pregnancy with lots of complications.
If u have kids u don't have to pay cash aid back. If u don't have kids u have to promise to pay it back with in a certain amount of time.
I'm not sure if you're are eligible for disability because you are no longer receiving unemployment but you can
always ask.
Edd requires you to look for a job If
you tell your Dr you are having physical problems due to pregnancy to look for a job she can put you in disability.
