Did any breast feeding mothers have a hard time for baby to sleep by themselves at night? My son…

Did any breast feeding mothers have a hard time for baby to sleep by themselves at night? My son always wants to lay with me right on my boob. And I can never sleep because I am afraid of him falling off bed, making sure he is comfy, etc. He can be dead asleep and once I lay him down in crib he screams till he is back on boob. Any way to help him get off of a little bit??

my son has been sleeping in his own room since he was 2 months. sometimes you'll just have to let him cry it out. it'll hurt & you'll wanna pick him back up, trust me, but if you don't let him he'll keep doing it. luckily for me my son was good at sleeping on his own but those few occasions he wouldn't want to leave our side that's what me & my boyfriend had to do.

Ok here's a trick I learned and hope to apply to my son when he's born. It has worked for my 2 nephews and for a few friends. 1) swaddled him tight. Make sure his whole body is tightly bundled to remind him of being inside of you. 2) get two tube socks and fill them with rice. That will make them heavy. 3) wrap a Tshirt you would wear round the house or to sleep around each tube sock tightly. 4) place each tube sock on either side of the baby while in his crib as if their bumpers. Keeping him in one spot. Lol hell smell you sent the entire time and think he's on you lol. The first time I saw my sister do that I was like " your a fucking genius ! "

@verobaby, I have tried that but after so long he holds his breath and won't breath till you pick him up. It's crazy!! And @lexis1107 he hates to be swaddled. The doctors couldn't even do it when he was born but one time. But I will deffenntly try the rice thing at night!!

@verobaby, yea. We have tried our tv on but he will only take small ten minute naps if that. Also some sounds like heart beat, rain, lullaby music... He is a tough cookie to crack lol

There is nothing wrong with Co-sleeping as long as you arent extremely exhausted. like to the point where you pass out. Mothers have an awareness of where their babys are. It is built in. What i do with my daughter is at night i breastfeed her laying down in the bed and prop her back up against a pillow so she is facing me. I feed her and when she falls asleep i move a couple inches away (she likes to flail get arms and she ends up smacking me in the face).

My little guy was in his own room at 3 weeks and sleeping 12 hours by 6 weeks. He's breastfed only.
