My dad has only solidified my decision NOT to co-sleep.. He's in the Detective Bureau with our Police Department & he investigates SO many infant deaths that are caused by co-sleeping... I wish every expecting/new mom saw this stuff/heard about it first hand to show them the dangers & realities of it.. There are at least 1-2 every month here in our small town... :(
Any mommies out there co-sleep? I co-sleep with my little one every now and then and 2ould like to know how you co-sleep.
mommys who co-sleep Did you tell lo doctor you were co-sleeping? What is the response im going to get from her dr this month? She is almost 6 months and weve been co-sleeping since 4 months. She starts the night out in bed until she wakes up to eat, and then she comes into my bed.

I don't think parents should co sleep with their children anyway. I've never understood it.

i coslept., i knew what i was doing not everyone is the same. my baby is great and that time we bonded and it was easier for me to breastfeed. i wouldn't change it for the world.

@mommagotbump16, Most definitely. I'm not sure that many people know that there actually is a safe way to do it. I feel that many think it's just laying the baby with you in bed :( So so sad

I've actually never owned a crib. My daughter has slept with me from birth and she's now 3. I've heard and read it's actually safer to co-sleep! Of course, there are right and wrong ways and every family is different. What worked for me last time probably won't work this time, it was just me and her before.

@chichi1975, I realize that it's a personal preference & I am by no means attacking moms that decide to do so, but seeing this stuff first hand is heartbreaking & I'm sure some of these moms were trying to be safe, but accidents happen.. It's just sad that in these cases my dad works, if the baby had been in a crib or bassinet, they would've lived 😓

I have coslept with all 3 of my boys and honestly feel like it's the best thing for my boys and I plan on doing it with baby #4 as well I have honestly seen more deaths in the hospital from babies sleeping in a crib or swing then co sleeping but everyone is different accidents happen at anytime so its just up to the parents on what is better for them but co sleeping is not a bad choice in my opinion

I co-slept with my two when they were toddlers. I was terrified of smothering them while i slept when they were infants. Unfortunately, it makes it so much harder to get them to sleep on their own when they get bigger. I will not be doing that again with this one. My mom's ordering me baby box that I will put in my room until he gets bigger and then I'll put him in a crib in his brothers room.

I've co-slept with my daughter since she was born and honestly she's a bed hog lol. she pushes me over until she's got half the bed to herself.

I totally understand I was joking st saying what I personally did which I know on paper and books was wrong! I have a friend who lost her two year old to SIDS and she only slept in a crib no matter the reason the loss of a child is awful good luck to all you mamas no matter how you chose to sleep I'm going to actually try the bassinet this time being this is number six between us and me being old I'm hoping to be a little bit more of a relaxed mom lol
