so I have about decided to go with a breast pump for first 6 weeks or so for those antibodies. then, want to swap to formula for several reasons. I don't know why but something about doing it the 100% natural way doesn't sit right with me. for other women I think its a great choice... but I'm very reserved and don't feel like I am suited for it. I keep feeling like I will be uncomfortable and awkward and baby will sense that. please tell me that there are some of you out there who share this unfortunate character quirk ... so I know I'm not a horrible mom already for feeling this way. I've tried to persuade myself but I cannot get past this one ...

I just feel like I'm going to feel awkward and I don't want to start then realize im still so uncomfortable that it makes her uncomfortable and then have to switch up on her... ugh. I've still got til April 10th to decide, if I go the full 40 weeks... but that day will be here before I know it with all we have going on right now at the house.

Maybe look into breast-feeding support groups in your area, I started going to one just to get out of the house and meet other moms and it made me so much more comfortable.

My little guy is 13 weeks and he has never had a bottle.. This wasn't exactly my plan. I pump and just freeze it. I was planning to pump and use a bottle but I fell in love with breastfeeding. I'm very bashful about it out in public and avoid it at all costs but I've gotten use to doing it around my hubby my mom and my mother in law. But I'm still always covered. I also just had to breast-feed my little guy on an airplane and I was so anxious about it but it was fine, in fact, the guy sitting next to us didn't even realize I was doing it. I also love that it is special time between me and my boy and a great excuse to duck away when I feel the need.

@rosalinasmami , thank you for sharing. I hope my feelings change about it, of course, I'm sure a lot will change once they place her in my arms ... that part I cannot wait for.

I was nervous to bf in public for the first few months. Or even in front of family or friends. I guess I wasn't sure how to maneuver and get my boob out and baby latched on. I would go in a different room if friends were over the house. ofcourse I was fine in front of my husband. I pumped and stored milk, so when we would go out, I would bring a bottle or two for my daughter. I bought a nursing cover just in case I ever did need to feed in public then I'll have my cover and maybe I won't be so nervous. I tried using it at home for practice and it was ok but I don't think my daughter cared for it. lol I ended up having to feed in public bc we were flying out for the holidays. I had to feed at the airport and ofcourse on the plane. I was a bit uncomfortable at first, but slowly got use to it, and realized no one could see anything and I was fine! I gotta feed my baby! she needs to eat and if anyone had a problem I was gunna stand up for my rights!✊ I felt more empowered once I got comfortable. I figured out how to maneuver my daughter just right and undo my nursing my bra and boom! I usually wear a cami under my clothes so when I lift my shirt up my back and belly aren't exposed. And sometimes I'll use a blanket kind of wraped around her when I'm holding her for a little extra coverage while nursing. Just in case. I love the bond I feel when breastfeeding! But don't worry if you feeling uncomfortable now a bit awkward now. Maybe It'll just take some time for you to adjust.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
