Hey ladies. I'm to be induced in a couple weeks and in the middle of packing for bubs. As my pregnancy isn't as straight forward as most, it's possible that I could be there for approx 4 weeks. I'm stumped on what to take? Do I need to take my own bottles? And how many vests and grows should I take for that length of time aswell. There are utility rooms for washing cloths etc but I'm totally baffled as to how much and what to take? X

You can buy pre-made bottles hun :) Some hospitals require you to have everything..bottles, powder etc :) Mmm how many outfits depends on how many a baby gets dirty...you could have up to 3/4 changes aday xx

I would ask your midwife/hospital what they have and don't have( provide) :)

Yeah I think I'm going to have to ring them. I'll be pumping at the hospital for as long as I'm there for so I'm not sure if they have there own bottles or not for that as they have there own pumping room with there pumps. I'm going in blind to be honest. @winterbaby95 xx

The hospital should have it all hun. When William had his op they had a room full of different bottles, dummies and milks for all the babies and are really well stocked up. As your baby is staying in and having an op I would assume it's the same. Baby may need a feeding tube at first. Give them a ring, they should have already told you all of this to be fair. xx

Ahhh there you are @zaralee71 x thanks for that, this is what I thought as I'd literally be taking so so much it seemed odd. They did say bubba will be on drip until well enough to go onto my breast milk, but hadn't given me a list at all for things I need to bring. And I can't find anything on there hospital website or the pack they gave me. xx

ahaa I come in handy sometimes aye lol no don't worrie, if you are breast feeding then they will get you to express and then they will put it in a bottle for baby. Just take enough clothes and what not for about a week and wash when you need to otherwise you will have alot to carry around. They should also have extra clothes for baby in case you don't manage to get it all washed in time. They are very well equipped =) xx

Haha you are welcome =) just write your name on your bags. If the nurses get your baby changed using your own clothes then they will put dirty ones aside for you near to where baby is for you to wash. We never had anything go missing =) It's a stressful time so staff try to make it as easy as possible for parents. xx
