I don't want to scare anyone but is this true? anyone know?

I took it most of my first trimester with no issues. I asked my doctor about it as well. she said there's not enough evidence that it causes birth defects.

I had issues on zofran I personally would not take it

They're trying to build a case. there's no real proof that zofran is linked to birth defects.

I have a friend that took it & her son has a club foot. she didn't take anything with her first 2 then her 3rd pregnancy she took it which was the son with club foot.

all my doctors still prescribe and take it themselves I am a firm believer people just needed someone to blame the issues on

they're still prescribing it, but people are still being prescribed Yaz and that lawsuit has been proven as well

My dr said its not enough evidence for him to stop prescribing it.

It's used for Chemotherapy and is FDA approved for such. It is used "off-label" for pregnancy and has not been FDA approved for use during pregnancy.

They are still prescribing it from Texas to NY so I don't think it's as serious as people claim and clearly hasn't been proven or the FDA would recall it

but, in Zofran defense, the exact same thing happened to diclegis when it first came out in the 70s? babies were born with birth defects and they spent so much money defending their product that by the time they proved it off, the company went bankrupt. it has since been resurrected, been given a class a (the only class a for pregnancy morning sickness) but still has the stain of back in the day

It's basically a drug where "risk to pregnancy can not be ruled out". Nobody knows for sure if issues are connected to Zofran or if other factors caused problems. Zofran is like many other things in pregnancy as far as being a potential risk because they simply don't know the effect it has on the unborn child.

this has gone on for a while. yes there is a class action law suit.

no that's not true, basically what it was was mothers gave birth and some thing was wrong and had to blame it on something. I've taken it and every OB in my doctors practice took it their whole pregnancy, also my high risk doctor did too.
