How Many CM Do You Need to Stay in the Hospital?

4cm I was told

they kept me at 3 but that's because I had back labor so my pain was to the point I could barely move and they started iv pain meds while I waited to dilate to a four for an epidural and I have a high pain tolerance. I thought people were joking when they said back labor is the worst. they aren't.

My hospital says 4cm or showing contractions that are causing cervical change after I think 2 hours

4-5 but you have to be in active labor pretty much. Water breaking, or consistent contractions. the took me at a 3 but I was really thinned out and having serious contractions.

I think you just have to be in active labor.
