yes your water can break with no contractions.

that one I can't tell you, this is my first pregnancy, I just know because my cousin went hours without knowing her water broke she just happened to have an ultrasound that day. from what I understand though you continue to leak after it breaks and if you smell it it will smell sweet instead of like pee.

your water won't stop leaking once it breaks. our bodies continue producing amniotic fluid even after labor kicks in. so you'll know if you continue dripping and you know for a fact you're not peeing
