so I was taking macrobid for my uti and it didn't work... so 2 days later afyer finishing my 7 day treatment they gave me 500 mg of amoxocilin .. just wondering if too much antibiotics can hurt the baby? my uti level was pretty high I drink a looooot of water but my job consists of sitting down all day just wondering if the pressure is causing it to go worse...calling my doc back at 3 but just curious to know before

Nope you should be fine. I had a utility that sent me into preterm labor so it's really important to get that knocked out fast!

the pressure shouldn't cause it to get worse.. I'd try adding cranberry juice through the day. and too many antibiotics won't mess with baby a UTI would be worse for baby. the reason the macrobid more then likely didn't work is because of the bacteria you have could be resistant to macrobid unfortunately alot of bacteria have gotten that way

make sure to be eating yogurt or taking probiotics with it, because antibiotics mess everything up.

you should try to completely empty your bladder every time you go.. i usually sit and relax and then out of nowhere i have a second stream lol and empty your bladder as soon as you get the urge.. most utis are because the bladder isnt fully emptied.. plus our urethra is so short very easy to introduce bacteria hope that helps ima nurse ♡
