I'm feeling really bad about myself lately, I really want to breastfeed but when she was born we couldn't get her to latch because her mouth was to small, and now she just recently learned to latch but she fights me like crazy when we try and she just gets so frustrated.. I just feel like a bad mom cause I can't breastfeed.
have u tried nipple shields. I'm not sure if that's what they're called.. they tried me on me in the hospital, it's to help them latch on..
she will root and put my nipple in her mouth but then starts screaming.. like she won't really try to suckle. and most of her tummy time is on my chest as well!
my son didn't start breastfeeding until a month and a half. his tummy time was mostly on my chest. one day after my shower HE decided it was time to start breastfeeding. he was trying to shove his head under my sports bra. have hope and don't stress. as long as she's getting breast milk to start, be happy about that!
Do skin-to-skin contact with her for about an hour a day for a while. Eventually, she'll start tying to find a nipple and doing that will create an amazing bond between you two. Also, if you have her on a schedule for feedings, position you and her for breastfeeding about 10 minutes before her feeding time. That way she won't be angry because she's hungry. You can also try squeezing some milk out of your nipple and rubbing it on her lips and a little in her mouth. She'll taste it and want more. It's a process to breastfeed but I know you can do it :)
I can't even get her to take my nipple anymore...it's torture on my soul
keep at it. my son was the same way with the fighting. but I kept at it. he latches great. and is just strictly breastfed. good luck u got this
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
Why can't other mom's just be there for other mom's and work together and help each other not bash other mom's because when other mom's bash other mom's it makes us feel like we aren't doing a good job at least that's how I feel when I get bashed.
Sorry for tmi. Me and my partner don't have that much sex any more because it kinda freaks him out. But we have just done it and it was very spontaneous and we done it doggy. I couldn't manage to lift my belly up off the sofa so kinda feel bad for my baby i feel like i squashed her. Shes moving fine i just feel really bad. She will be fine won't she?
I do still have hers from when we were in the hospital!
