So I had my first appointment and the nurse told me it was way to early to get seen by a doctor. She was like have you even missed your period yet??!! ughhh I was like yea 2 weeks ago! Anyways scheduled another appointment
I was about 12 weeks, I have another of just the sac that was taken at 5weeks!! @sysmommy
@marirub, You did the right thing- ignore them. Even the nurse practitioner I met first warned me that some nurses/midwives/docs in the practice are nicer and more personable and to not let them get under my skin. She said if they harp on you about things just tell them you discussed it already ad nauseum with the nurse and appreciate their input and then move on. I guess as an older ftm I just listen to what I need to hear and don't take as much crap as I think I would have 10 years ago. No stroking of their ego or putting up with their stupidness from me. I know they're the best in my area so I just approach everything with no stress and thick skin. Hope all works out for you! Safe travels!
Right smh. I was able to get my first ultrasound at 5w4d and saw my lil gummy bear. But they have some nerve
The nurse was like your like a minute pregnant and I told her that her staff shouldnt have given me such an early appointment. Im going to Canada for a month so i thought it was a good idea to get checked before I left!! @sysmommy @rgaine @vanegasana13 @theosmommy @sexxymama83
Same thing they told me but I was almost 6 weeks she was able to do a vaginal ultrasound but I only got to see the sac.
to me was like for @momosaid. I found out about the pregnancy pretty early.. and as I was bleeding a little, I got to see the doc at 4w, 8w and 12weeks.
i saw the prenatal educator at 4 weeks and the midwife dr at 5 weeks. an i see the dr again at 12 weeks
Yeah, that was pretty early to go in and they asked me that question too (at 7w 4d) but she definitely should have said it nicer! No need to be rude. I call people like that Grumpy Cats.
@sexxymama83, I agree that was rude smh I had to re-read it I thought u were talking about me 😂😂😂😂
Wow she was rude..... But yea they usually see schedule first appointments between 8-12 weeks
