breastfeeding help So I'm pregnant with twins and was planning on breastfeeding like I did with my son. But we just found out they both have cleft palet and cleft lips. cleft palate So I found out last week at my ultrasound my twins have cleft palets and cleft lips. And I also found out because of that I probably won't be able to breastfeed which I'm really sad about. But does anyone have any advice on cleft. I'm a part of a Facebook group and they help alot. they will both have to have alot surgeries. It's going to be hard the first year or 2. i don't have a child with cleft lip but my grandmouther had a cleft lip and palette and she got it corrected nearly 50 years ago and you can bearly tell i can only imagine how they can fix it now

My big brother did he is 26 and you cant tell. He did kinda have a speech problem but I did too but I didn't have cleft lip or pallet.

My husband had 3 surgeries before 18. He has an option to have one more to correct his nose some more since it grows. He has no speech problems and can't tell too much with a beard lol. But it all depends on how severe the palette is.
