Morning ladies, after about 2 weeks of giving birth to my lovely son I feel like sharing my baby's birth story. I was 41 weeks when they booked me for induction, so I went to the hospital on Thursday and the midwife told me that she will ask the dr to do a quick scan before induction to decide wether it's ok or not, but the dr didn't do the scan and he just said he is happy to proceed with the induction. So the midwife put it down inside and they should leave it for 24 hours. Anyway there were some contractions happening but not really strong enough. Then they gave me another type of induction on Friday and Saturday, so 3 days of induction, and they broke my waters. I was in so much pain on Sunday morning and o started to shake and shiver, I was feeling very cold and my temperature went up over 39. The midwife said we can proceed more with induction she believed in few hours I can have my baby naturally.!!! Me and my husband requested an epidural and when the dr come they said they prefer to do an emergency c section and stop the induction process. I had what they call pyrexia in labour which is very serious. So there was waters infection. My baby and I were at risk because of all this very long labour, and if the idiot dr had scanned me he would know that my baby's position was not right for natural birth in the first place and we could avoided the pain of 4 days labour and he could have booked my c section instead. Anyway they increased my epidural and other anesthesia and they started the surgery, my heart rate was 160 and baby was 225 !! I feel a very bad feeling up to this moment , can't be at peace with this horrible memory 😢
does your hospital have an after thoughts service. contact your local PALS and see if they can support you. try and focus on your beautiful baby and maybe get some answers from an enquiry x
