What's the best birth control? I was thinking the shot, I don't do well with pills but I want the most effective one

I have the Nexaplanon, and I love it. I thought about the shot but my gyno told me it causes weight gain that you can't really control or loose. I personally didn't like the idea of having the ring, maraina, or any vaginal implant birth control because I've heard too many bad stories, and I wouldn't want it happening to me. Nexaplanon is amazing!

@denore, it's honestly going to be different for everyone when it comes to which method is the "best" IUD's and Nexplanon are both 99.9% effective, which makes them the most effective methods out there. IUD's have some possible serious health risks, where as the nexplanons worst risk is occasional cramps and bleeding which doesn't always happen, hasn't happened to me. I think you should do research on each method that you're interested in and even watch YouTube video reviews on certain birth controls! That's actually what I did and how I decided on getting the Nexplanon. Also it's hormone free so you can have it while breastfeeding. IUD's have been known to cause ovarian cysts which is why I won't get one! It's important to do your research when it comes to this stuff!

I had the shot I liked it but made me gain a lot and you need to switch to a different birth control for a little bit after 2 years because it's really hard on your bones... I have the nexplanon now and love it plus I don't have to worry about it for another 3 years and your fertile again after its removed. The shot I believe can take up to 6 months to become fertile again

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
