Is it normal for a doctor to schedule your first obgyn appointment 2 weeks out after confirming that your pregnant?

Yep! Normal.

I found out at 5 weeks. first appt was at 10 weeks and it was only for registering. first real appt wasn't till I was 14 weeks

I found out December 11th and waited to make an appointment because of the holidays and just in case I had another miscarriage. the doctors office just confirmed that I was pregnant and my first appointment with my doctor isn't until the 5th of February.

I found out the first week of December...I was 6 weeks. My first appointment isn't until February 1st

I found out I was pregnant at 8 weeks and didn't have my 1st appointment until I was 12 weeks its easier to do the ultrasound the farther along you are and easier to measure baby

they won't even tell me if I'm high risk until I see my doctor.

my wait was almost 4 weeks. my doctor won't see you until at least 8 weeks along and they don't do ultrasounds until 12 weeks unless it's an emergency or unless you're high risk.

It's just frustrating because I'll be 12 weeks on Thursday an by the time I see my doctor I'll be 14 weeks and 1 day

yes, some doctors only see people after their second trimester, or at least fairly close to it.
