My little guy will be 11 weeks on Monday and has only pooped 1 in the last 3 weeks... First he went 5 days and since that one it has been 11 days... He is eating and sleeping normally and is happy... He is farting and they have started to smell. I've tried prune juice/water and nothing. I called my doctor last time he didn't go and she said as long as he was happy/eating/sleeping all is well. I'm getting nervous now! Thoughts?

Okay then that's why. breast-feed babies can go a while without pooping because they don't need to get rid of any waste. all the breastmilk is being used in his body. formula fed babies poop more. did i explain that well sorry I'm horrible at explaining myself lol

Yeah I know.. But at what point is it too long? As I said, he is happy and sleeping/eating normally.. 11 days just seems so long! @verobaby

i think if he doesn't seem stressed & the doctors don't seem alarmed he's okay but if you don't feel comfortable though try taking him to see a different doctor.

Breastfed babies can go 14 days without a bowel movement and it's perfectly normal. Just leave him be if he is happy and content with himself. I had to call the doctor when my daughter wasn't going and I was freaking out and thinking this is not normal!!! But it totally is!! "Don't sweat it mama" is what the pediatrician told me!!
