I used teething tablets on my son despite what everyone said, I was hesitant but decided to use them only when I have tried everything else ( meaning nit to depend on them) and I let my son have a ninny. It was surprisingly easy to break him of it and he loves with another baby who has a ninny, to get rid of the ninny he got ride of his bottle 3 days before his first birthday then at 18 months I took his ninny from him and he only got it in the car, nap time and bed time. Then one day while he was asleep and his ninny fallout his mouth i went and hid all his ninny. (he knows he's not aloud do share his cousins ninny, that's one thing we made sure they both knew that they had their own ninny in sharing) and after I hi his ninnys he woke up and want worried about it until bed time. Then he started crying ninny before bed so I told him lets look. After about 20 min of half heartily looking while he was going crazy he looked at me and said its gone and went to bed. But as far a s teething try celery, they make a teething toy that is shaped like a giant strawberry that vibrates to sooth gums and you can use old ring pop bases and milk/ formula (what ever your baby is on) and let them suck on it like a popsical
