Cloth Diapers. Been doing a lot of research regarding them. Talked with my SO and he agrees he wants to use them. The problem? Everyone is talking down on it "there is too much work for them, you'll stop using them after a week" . Even argued with my SO grandparent because she said if she watched the child shed throw the cloth diapers away and use a regular. I had sensitive skin when I was a baby. So cloth seems a safer route. Not only that in the long run cloth diapers are cheaper. And they are economically friendly.

I want to do green mountain prefolds and covers. The covers I want to get are blueberry capris, Rumparooz, Grovia, nickis, and thirsties. Getting about two of each brand. I've been researching for months while ttc. Still not pregnant yet though. And cloth is the best way to go I think. The only reason I didn't with my first was bc I was living with my mother and she was so unsupportive saying the same kind of stuff "Ull just stop" "you won't want to do that" " it's gross" ect it didn't help I was just 20 then so I listened to her. Not this time though.

Me too! It's so annoying to have people tell me that I won't keep at it. I also have sensitive skin as does my husband which is why I am going this route.

I plan on asking nonclothfriendly people to buy their own disposable diapers and i'll use cloth. Or hire a diaper laundry service to pick them up. Still saves tons of money in the end.

Since I started researching them and mentioned it on fb, I've learned that so many people I know have used them and loved them! That definitely upped my comfort and helped firm my decision. Fortunately, our immediate family already knows I'm a bit of an odd ball (I'm the only one that recycles, I make my own chemical free household cleaners, I want a home birth, etc). So I think they're just lumping this in with another strange thing I'm doing lol however, I did buy some honest company diapers for when our little one is with family. I know they'll be more comfortable with them and she will be with them so infrequently that I feel comfortable with them being used for those instances.

I decided to use honest diapers up until 10 lbs then I will switch to Tidy Tots diapers. Will keep 1 package of Honest diapers available as a backup /extended travel.

Why wouldn't grandma just put the cloth ones in the laundry bag and use the disposable? why be mean and throw them away? just rude.

If you're determined and have the mindset to use cloth diapers, go for it! My husband and I have built our stash and we're soo excited! His parents aren't huge fans/supporters but my dad is totally on board. We already told them they could use disposables when they babysit though.

Although we're still a couple weeks away from our due date, cloth really isn't that difficult once you know what you're doing. Finding a wash routine is probably the most pain in the ass thing.
