You just get an IV of antibiotics during delivery so the bacteria isn't passed to your baby. and I believe that's only in vaginal birth I heard if you have a c-section you don't get it, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

With my Group B Step test they did it. swabbed vaginally and then the rectum, I was positive as well. @mamaofangelbaby0610
