I've never had that done. why do they do it? my group b strep test was taken from my vagina. I tested positive my first pregnancy...

With my Group B Step test they did it. swabbed vaginally and then the rectum, I was positive as well. @mamaofangelbaby0610

this is actually the first time I've heard of them swabbing the rectum. @their.bomb.ass.mom I've only heard of the vaginal swab.

You just get an IV of antibiotics during delivery so the bacteria isn't passed to your baby. and I believe that's only in vaginal birth I heard if you have a c-section you don't get it, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I'm sure it does, because I know some people who will have it with one baby and not the other. So like you can have it this time and not have it next time, or not have it this time and have it next time.
