I feel you on the sore nipples. What helps too are the cool gel breast pads. If you stick them on after your done nursing. Feels like heaven.

omg don't pump yet lol it will hurt more.trust me lol my lactation nurse told me about the milk on my nipples and I walked around 2days like that and they were healed. I had the shield and cream and it sucked. you have to find what works for you but the milk on nipple is free 😀😀 lol @momma588

😬 your poor boobies! definitely try the breast milk and nipple shield, hope they feel better. ouch! and @sarahemccormick don't worry about your boobs looking like socks, that's not true. I've breastfed all of my babies and I do not have sock boobs. btw , smack your husband for me just for saying that lol, shame on him. breastfeeding has been proven in preventing breast cancer and is the best thing you could do for your little one.

@momma588, before you buy the shield let your breast milk air dry on your nipples after each feeding. it should heal them quickly. mines were raw and bleeding but its cause I didn't have her on my nipple correctly so check that the baby is not sucking your nipple directly but the aereola. you can make it to a year ,💪💪 if anything your breast look fuller

I really want to breastfeed for a year...but my husband made a comment that made me feel terrible 😳 He said, "Your boobs are gonna look like socks if you breastfeed for a year, and then I will have to pay to get them done" like I couldn't believe he said that to me, because I really did want to do it for a year.
