Old blood is just stuck inside you and can come out when you have spotting. Even light spotting isn't considered a menstrual cycle. Unless you have a period every month with actual bleeding, then you aren't having a period. Try what your doctor suggest to help regulate your cycle. Then when you start having a period, figure out your ovulation days and when you are the most fertile. it's best to have sex a few days before you start ovulating and every day on. Good luck! :)

Well it was both like I thought it was just spotting the one day and the blood went through my pants lol so I have no idea

you can get pregnant after depo, I talked to my doc about that because I was on and off it for 16 years and be assured me that it downs have a huge impact, its more your diet, age and if you are ovulating I am back on it again this is my 3rd time on it. it could be old blood that never fully made its way out so you never saw it. I think to consider it a real period you have to have at least a light flow for a few days rather then just spotting her and there

My sister had an IUD for years and now she's been trying for almost a year and nothing is happening so I feel like most birth control is just not good for the body. brown is usually old blood, not considered a period though, i would say your best bet is take your OBs advice and try Clomid to get you to ovulate, that might be all you need

Thanks so much I do wanna try clomid I've heard great stories with that and no I didn't take any vitamins when I was on depo. But any idea what this brown spotting could mean?

The depo shot is so awful for the body. I bled for all 3 months it lasted. And it's so bad for fertility.

i was on the depo shot for 8 years it took two month after stopping that i got a period. So about October when it was "out" of my system. We tried immediately after. we conceived early July. the depo is known for messing with firtility but only if when you are on it you dont take the right vitimins. my suggestion is to see your dr but also start to take prenatal vitimins to help. another thing that helped was amonth after my hubby cut out mnt dew and energy drinks we got the bfp. best luck sending baby dust your way.

Clomid will help give you a real period and actually ovulate, I have heard success stories with that

Try vitex chasteberry that's how I got pregnant I ordered them last dec and found out I was pregnant in the beginning of Jan. They are a natural pill you can buy from Amazon for like $11

But like I did have the brown spotting and on a couple of those days it had blood with it

Your dr can prescribe fertility pills that will help regulate your period

it took me 17 months after I ended depo to get pregnant. are you tracking ovulation? we ended up at the doc. as well to get him tested to see if there were issues with his sperm, but there are things the doctors can give to help start your period and help you ovulate

depot shot is known for messing fertility up. I wouldn't ever use it again. along with mirena. see a fertility specialist as soon as possible.

if you haven't had a period, you are going to need to see your doctor. it's very rare that you could conceive without having a menstrual cycle.
