Breastfeeding! who's done it? who plans on doing it? if you don't, do you mind saying why? I'm in between on my decision to do it or not I'm leaning more on doing it but I'm afraid I won't be able to do it correctly.
No it wasn't :/ I had a lot of help from lactation consultants. The ones in the hospital are usually there 24/7 and will come help you with any questions you have! My son has had 100% breast milk since birth but I began exclusively pumping at about 1 1/2 weeks because he wouldn't latch and I had a c section so it was hard to hold him on me :/ I still pump and I have a ton of milk because of it
I did both and I was so stressed out I lost my supply. You'll do good just be prepared and know its going to be a lot of work. I wish I tried harder, but regardless my baby is happy, healthy and smart (: She will be one next month. Good luck(:
thanks, that's what I'm afraid of @kmunoz I feel like if I can't do it I'll just pump and still feed him breastmilk but I really hope I can have that bond with him by actually breastfeeding
@anim, thanks. the main question I have for now is, is it hard to get him to latch on or was it easy for you?
This is my second time exclusively breastfeeding. The first I did for a full year and we are on week 6 now with my second.
I did for a month, I was not prepared for how hard/frustrating it was going to be. I plan on trying again this time around. if you do decide to, definitely do your research and don't give up(:
@anim, that's great to know. I'll definitely be pumping just in case latching is an issue because the breastmilk is important to me... I hope he takes to it well because I had a friend that had to give her baby formula because he wouldn't drink her milk
