I quit cold turkey with my daughter and it about killed me I was in the hospital for like a week

Don't Give Up! You Can Do It.

It's not easy at all. You have to find what works for YOU. Keep your mind on the prize mama! This is your first sacrifice out of many. Your baby NEEDS you to stop. His life can very well depend on it. You don't want to be the cause for a deformity or any ache that your baby has, right? You've just got to think about that.. Think of something greater. Your cravings aren't greater than that baby:). You are stronger than the cigarette.. Time to fight for baby:).

I'm trying so hard to quit. Before getting pregnant I smoked almost a half a pack a day. I've tried to just stop so many times since finding out but thats hell on me mentally and physically. I can honestly say I have cut down a lot though. One day at a time. At my next Dr appt I'm gonna ask for tips to completely stop

right now the issues are the headaches that comes with not smoking. I become easily agitated and on edge. I want to quit for my baby because I want it to be able to breathe without any complications. quitting is just kicking my ass. I've already quit so much caffeine and now the cigarettes is what's kicking my ass. ITS NOY EASY. 😲

I smoked for the first 5 months of my pregnancy, trying to quit cold turkey was not for me. I smoked half a pack a day, so about 10 a day. so I just took one cigarette away each week or every couple days, then when I got down to 3-4 a day I was watching when I really craved one and only had one at thoes times which was in the morning and after meals. so I decided to not have one in the mornings for a couple days then I took my after breakfast one away then lunch then dinner, I was finally done. and never picked up another one again. have been cigarette free for 4 yrs now! and let me tell you it feels amzing! the only thing that was hard after the first few months the of quiting was the habbit!!! I didn't crave, but I did miss the habbit. and if you keep your self busy with baby and life. you will forget about the habbit and it gets much much easier! good luc! you can do it! :)

im trying too! i have also cut down alot on ciggs... never smoked weed my doctor told me smoking can cause cerebral palsy for the baby though so im trying my hardest to stop all together A.S.A.P

I used to smoke a lot, because of stress and depression I'm 22 weeks and now I only smoke maybe 3.5 cigarettes a day and I'm still cutting back, it's hard for almost a year I was smoking over 2 packs a day so no matter what anybody else has said I'm proud of myself for cutting back as much as I have, I buy a pack and it lasts me about a week, good luck I didn't think I could do it but I'm slowly getting there.

I smoked when I found out and quit inside of a week. I just cut in half each day until I was out. You will figure out a way that works for you, you just have to think about that life growing inside you. That's what made me realize how much I didn't need to smoke anymore.

your right cold turkey isn't good but try to slow down and much as you can.. I have however seen a doctor approve those vape electronic cigarettes the oils without nicotine for a pregnant paramedic I knew.. maybe ask

quitting cold turkey is the best way to go. i did it with both my pregnancies as soon as i took the test. never picked up a cig again. Just kept telling myself there is a baby in me and i want it to breath as clearly as possible. Good luck to you momma, you have the strength!

I know it's hard. I smoke weed never squares but not smoking is soooooooo difficult. I think you've just got to come to a point where baby is more important than you. Every time I think of smoking a beautiful backwood I think of what could happen to my love.. Mind of matter.
