Hey beautiful ladies. I have my first midwife appointment next week. What can I expect? Would love to hear your stories…

@homely.mummy.no2, its basically alot of paperwork, you may have a blood test and give a urine sample, they should give you a edd too 😊 x

When i went i had loads of questions, few blood tests, weight and height measured, paper work (pregnancy notes), bounty pack and I think that was it I was there for about an hour and I had really bad sickness that morning and my midwife was sat there talking about what fish I can't eat... thought I was gonna be sick (don't even eat it anyways 😂) she also booked my next midwife appointment with her and then few weeks later I got my first ultrasound appointment in the post xx

@cayleighnatasha, lol I can imagine! Last thing you want to hear in the morning!! Gosh, 1 hour they are thorough. Thank you I feel very prepared now (sick bag and mints packed) 😋

I was at mine for over an hour had horrible morning sickness and was sick in her sink.... I made an impression hahahha. She made my scan appointment when I was there and wrote it in my notes. 😊😊 midwives are all different in their approach. But it's great to finally get the ball rolling when you go to that appointment @homely.mummy.no2 xx

I've just had mine on Wednesday.. They will ask you to do a wee sample and just filling out forms and info on the babies dad, and the dads family history medical wise.. And then talk about a blood test and downs screenings ect.. Give you a bounty pack and some leaflets.. And then they send off the referral for your scan.. You'll then be asked to make an appointment for your blood test to be around 11 weeks.. Then you shouldn't see midwife again until 16weeks xx

Had mine on Tuesday Hun, she came to my house and filled out my green pregnancy book which she gave me to keep, asked me questions about previous pregnancies, how labour was when I had my son and lots of questions about family health history for me and my partner. We also got a lil magazine with vouchers for Emma's diary and information on pregnancy also a mini form we filled in to collect an early pregnancy package that we picked up from Argos. My experience was really nice as she was very lovely. I hope yours goes well too X
