Why the epidural has to go in the spine?😰 why couldn't it be a normal injection like others lol. I exaggerate so much when I'm in pain so I'm gonna need it. hate that its the truth but I'm not a fan of pain lol.

Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.
My period is late... I'm hoping it comes soon.. Why is birth control so stupid .. Lol
Not trying to scare any of you mommies. but this is what the epidural Needle looks like. I'm not as scared as I thought I was gonna be. so I'm looking forward to NO pain lol.

I had it. it's really not that bad. I had the sweetest nurses and doctors. they took the best care of me. I had my nurse put her hands on my shoulders for comfort. just needed to feel safe. it was my first baby, and I was pretty scared. but it went smoothly for the most part. epidural was so strong I couldn't feel my contractions. they told me when to push. I accidentally sucked my son back in. they had to push my stomach and back to push him out. the pushing seem to be hard to do when you can't feel your body. I felt like big fat blubber on the bed. lol. but it does help. and you will be fine. the epidural doesn't hurt. feels like I tickling in your lower spine. the doctors wouldn't give you something if it was dangerous. their there to take care of you and your baby.

it would be easier if they could just give us a shot. but that's just the way they've been doing it for many years.

True it doesn't hurt when your getting it. Actually the numbing medicine hurts worse because it stings. But the back aches you get later in life from the epidural is no joke.......

Also it's called Epidural because that's where the pain medicine is administered in the epidural space of your spine. Lol I wish it could go somewhere else too

Trust me when ur in that pain u will welcome that needle it's not that bad and I had csections that were planned and the epidural wasn't bad either believe me u will be ok 😊

Yea I had it both ways natural and with the epi. I won't be getting the epi anymore Lol.
