I'm new on here, I have asked several people how do you tell a Braxton Hick Contraction from a regular contraction? I'm 36 weeks and 1 day with my first baby!
I would say real contractions grow in intensity and frequency but mine are irregular and doctor has given me a shot.. But I've read that Braxton hicks you can walk and they should stop, they are irregular and don't get worse it's more of a tightening
braxton hick contractions do not feel like period cramping at all. Its when your tummy feels really tight and uncomfortable like its about to bust lol. Real contractions feel like really bad period cramps and like @ktwins188 said you'll be in tears as they get stronger and stronger
@aali_bug1991, if I'm not mistaken from what I've read a Braxton hick is more like a strong version of a period cramp. And will go away when you move and are irregular. Wheres a real contraction will be felt in you back as well and you'll be able to predict the next one if you watch the clock.
braxton hick usually when u drink water and put ur feet up they stop or lighting up but with contractions they don't stop with water and ur feet up and they keep coming back and as they come back they pain is worst everytime
I was wondering the same thing.
I don't think I have experienced a Braxton hicks yet but would like to know how to tell the difference when the time comes :-)
