I went in on Monday, December 21st to be induced. I was 41 weeks pregnant. I went in at 7:30, they checked me and I was still only 1-2cm. they started the pitocin at 9am and broke my water. Around 1pm I decided to get the epidural cause the contractions were so intense I couldn't breathe through them. Once the epidural was in they checked me again and I was 4-5cm. From then we just waited it out and the nurse came in around 5pm and checked me and she said, "it's baby time!" We were so happy! I pushed for 20mins and he was here! Daddy got to cut the umbilical cord! It was such a great experience as a family! He did come out with some respiratory issues so that had to take him to the nursery and put him on oxygen for a couple hours but then he started doing good. He does have hydronephrosis so we have to go see a specialist in a week or so for that, it's fluids backed up in his kidneys which could cause kidney infections. But there's my story!
