my son I think has it... he will cry and scream in his sleep and act so scared and I'll wake him up and he will wimped a bit and then snuggle in and go to sleep again. he's only 6 weeks

have you tried anything to make it better? her mom wakes her up about 45 mins after she falls asleep. I guess hers happen right as she's entering into that rem sleep cycle. shes passed out asleep but screams and thrashing around and if we try and restrain her so she doesn't hurt herself it only makes her fight harder. @tae23

he's not used to being away from you.my son did the same thing at 6 weeks. super young babies get startled easily because they are so used to the womb @benjismom

@_akgirl it's the worst. I wish it didn't happen. I fully know the strength of Carter's grip now. little man is freaking strong. I feel so bad though cause he will roll super fast onto his tummy and it makes him scream worse ):

@omnomnomnivor he hit started it last night. I thought our downstairs neighbors tv may have just spooked him but they aren't making any noise tonight. I just pick him up and pat his back and he will slowly calm down.

I thought that at first because he wouldn't sleep away from me more then 30 mins Max, so now he sleeps with me in my bed and sleeps for a long time and he will wake up and look at me and smile then go to sleep. but I have to wake him up when he starts that screaming and crying and thrashing in his sleep. :( it's so sad.

How do you know if baby is having night terrors? Is it the randomly crying when they're trying to sleep...? My baby girl is 4 months now and lately she'll do that, past few nights she'll either just wake up or be woken by something and she'll just start crying outta nowhere...like super sad cry...she doesn't wanna be set down until she's in deep sleep...she can fall asleep by herself usually, but not lately. She had her vaccinations done yesterday and was super tired and cranky...and when I finally moved to put her to bed she just started crying, so sad....took a while to get her to calm and it seemed like she was asleep the whole time because she never opened her eyes and when she calmed she totally knocked out and slept really good for the rest of the night!
