I swear I'm going to freak out. My dad has the shingles and is getting over it now... People always say it hurts but he never showed any signs of pain, now that the scabs and stuff have gone down, I get the pain everyone talks about... My dad drops to his knees every time and starts to cry and scream so loud. I can't handle seeing him in pain like that, because for a minute there's nothing I can do but watch him suffer... Anyone ever been through anything like this and find a solution to the pain? (yes, baby & i are both safe from getting it)

@sktraum, yeah, my dad was given that too & did nothing... Did you just fight it out? I don't feel like there's much more to do.
I had shingles and it kills. My dr gave me Vicodin. It didn't take the pain away but made it tolerable.
Id honestly just find him some good pain pills like maybe some Xanax and let him sleep
@lilanne1927, we've tried and it doesn't work, they say the roots where the sores were way down under his skin in the nerves and there's not much of a solution to help with nerve pain but just not sure if anyone's experienced it before on here.
Maybe an ice pack or heat pad? I don't know anybody who's had it but maybe that will help with the pain!
Ya, I had to ride it out. I can't remember how long it lasted tho. It was 10 years ago. But everything made it hurt. Even doing nothing made it hurt. Sorry he's suffering 😞
