I know they say laying on your back isn't good for baby but I fall asleep on my side and no matter what always wake up on my back!! I feel that it's the most confortable right now? Is it bad
@missyowl92, oh yeah, I have tried every which way to stay on my left side lol but I just move so much in my sleep, and the crazy thing is, as I get bigger I'm so much more comfortable on my back, (i could never sleep on my back before I got pregnant) but I know it's not the best way too sleep.
@wrd2016, Yep the exact same thing happens to me. My upper stomach cramps up really bad and it becomes hard as a rock and it's so hard to move. On your right side it's the liver that gets too much pressure which doesn't do much harm but it isn't good for your bladder. Unfortunately I sleep better on my right but I always make sure I have on of my legs elevated and I'm not leaning too much on my stomach so I don't do much harm. I always try to fall asleep on my left first though.
I have a pregnancy pillow, and always go to sleep on my left side, bc they say laying on your back and right side isn't good for the baby, bc like @missyowl92 said, certain organs get too much strain put on them, but I always end up laying more on my back when I wake up and my stomach hurts so bad from it, if I wake up on my back, it's like my stomach is hard and cramped up so I always try my best to stay on my left side.
You're not supposed to sleep on your back because of the main artery that pumps blood from your heart to your baby. After a while, being bigger it can cut off the flow. Every time I lay on my back I get really dizzy and I burn up so I have to switch positions. I wake up on my back often too so I just try to keep pillows behind me.
It's Just odd cuz I'm the most comfortable on my back! My hips hurt to much laying on my sides? Ugh and I don't know how to fix that
