yeah I guess not man lc or doctors tell people but it's a very serious thing, it can make or break your bf! make sure you see at least 2 different lc's and 1 doctor to make sure your baby doesn't have one.

You can pump now, but get the ok from your dr. It may send you into labor, but being that you are so far along it may not.(Dr. approval) You will only pump colostrum until after the baby is born. Colostrum is good to have just in case you have a c section or something happens and the baby has to be in NICU for a while. The colostrum will be there for the baby instead of them giving formula. I've done much research on this topic because I plan to pump while pregnant when I'm further along. Good luck!

definitely wait till after baby is born to pump. also make sure your baby doesn't have an tip ties or tongue ties. my baby had a severe lip tie (which she is getting revised soon) and it desimated our breastfeeding time. she was in the nice for a week and when she came home I only got to hold her 3 hours out of the day. she had in home nicu. I can't stress enough how important it is to get your baby checked it will make all the difference in the world.

I didn't leak at all my first pregnancy and I didn't start pumping until after my son was born. It came so easily to me. I pumped every three hours because I had to send my colostrum over to him at the NICU and once my milk came in I was getting up to four oz or more! I was worried that my milk wouldn't come in at all!

Bless you for telling me that !!! I keep asking my breastfeeding counselor silly questions but then get so insecure when I see other mommys post about having so much milk and leaking and my breast look larger but they don't leak ...your my hero ! I hope I ca. Successfully breast feed too @aek91

Pumping will definitely induce labor & you don't have milk yet just colostrum milk comes in after the baby is born
