@royalprincessmommy, that's why I wrote a "reputable tattoo parlor". Meaning, something that needs to be researched. My sister in law works at Inkwell in Orange County, CA, and she worked reception at LA Ink as well. (You may have seen her on tv! 😊). She told me that at both shops, there were people who specialized in ear piercing babies. She was the one who told me that she learned from working there than the soft tissue of the ear can be easily torn by a gun. But, who knows! When it comes time for me to make that choice, I'll probably talk to her doctor first and see if he has any advice.

@jennatess, ive worked at tattoo shops tattooing and have never seen anyone bring their baby to get pierced , so to me it seems as though they have little to no experience in working with babies although im sure they could however im skeptical about a tattoo shop because you alsp have airborne pathogens, and particles of skin and blood debris in the air so thats also a factor. i have super germ phobias. 😑

Go to a reputable tattoo parlor. Guns can tear at the babies soft skin. If done at the proper tattoo shop, they will use a sterilized needle. Muchhhhh safer! (:

Yea I understand that because I was always told to make sure my belly button was pierced with a needle for sterilization reasons. but my daughter hasn't had ANY problems with them yet. she is now 10 months. yea I'm just lucky I guess she doesn't really have sensitive skin lol. but if you do Def do it when she's more little because then she'll learn to not mess with them and just be used to them as she gets older :) she is so adorable by the way! 😍

the thing is , im a tattoo artist and id rather it be an actual sterilized needle because with the gun, theres no sterilization. but i understamd otherwise how it could be safer ... im just nervous, her dad wants her ears pierced so bad and im kinda on the fence. i just want it to be done correctly and safely. but i heard good things about those pagoda stands so thank you love 😊

a gun. it's the safest for them. and they have to do it one at a time unfortunately

most places won't do it before 3 months. I got my daughter's done at a pagoda stand at the mall a few days after she turned 3 months
