Yep. I actually got enough checks until February and then I go back in February to restock on the WIC checks. It's a long wait because so many people are there but you apply get accepted and they give you the checks right there! 😁

I take a centering pregnancy class every other tuesday. it's 2 hours and takes place of my doctors appointments. I learn alot from it. i would ask at the wic or even ur doctor and see what classes they can offer you.

I'd rather get formula because I plan on formula feeding anyway. I just applied for food stamps so I'm not even worried about getting more food. Thanks again @floress_j

@floress_j, awesome thanks!! I'm going in on Monday to apply I was gonna go today but when I called the lady told me I needed to bring in all the requirements so I just didn't go but that's very good to know I've been wanting to take a class at least to get the feel of it ☺

They do! @babybee Theres plenty of classes that they offer Like nutrtion & breastfeeding.. theyll ask if your interested in taking those and if they dont make sure to ask about it.

Well they dont ask you lots of questions so thats good.. just about nutrition and things like that.

Yea.. my sister had told me to tell them i was going to bottle feed so they give me formula. But at the time it slipped and i said i wanted to breast feed.. which i do. So if i end up only breastfeeding for a couple months then i just let them kno and theyll give me formula. As far as the amounts idk..

If you breast feed you get lots of food but no formula if you formula feed mostly all you get is formula and a couple other items. But you can go change it at any point

They did with me. Didn't really take any info either besides address and stuff like that

Well you can always change your mind. I let it slip and said i was going to breast feed so i was afraid they wouldnt help with formula at all if i were to change my mind or something but she said you can always change it..

Interesting. I'm heading different things about what to tell them if I'm gonna breast feed or formula feed. Something about if I say breast feed I get more money and if I say formula feed I get less and something about if I say I'm doing both... Idk lol

You have to take in proof of pregnancy & proof of address. They also ask for checkstubs of whomever is working in the household. I forgot about those so she just let me slide lol

Yes thats true. If they can right there and then they will or theyll have you come back a bit later. But same day :)

Yes that's how it was for me. They approved me and gave me checks same day.

you should be approved right away.
