So is there any mom's here that depend on their checks to pay bills and are not going to get a maternity leave with pay? How do you plan to do it? Because I just found out that my job isn't going to give me that at 8 months pregnant. I've been there almost a full year. I've earned it damn it, I put in the time. It's their fucking mistake from a misunderstanding, so my family and I have to pay for THEIR mistake.

I'm mad cause I'll be two months from 6 weeks paid maternity leave some companies don't offer it im just going to take my vacation days and I'll have a bonus check plus my bf works so that's how I'm planning on doing it

my work doesn't offer any paid time off. so I'm just saving and hoping to be able to cover everything. and you can't get unemployment here for maternity leave. and I'm doing it solo. so it's gonna be interesting @maceysmommy

My job doesn't offer any paid time off either and unemployment doesn't apply so ill just be off with no pay. It'll all work out

My last job before I became a stay at home Mom didn't offer any paid time so I just saved a little each month to be prepared for my time off.

My job doesn't do paid maternity leave but I can file for short term disability. I will be getting half of what I normally make but it's better than no income:/

I won't get paid maternity leave either, and here in Oregon it doesn't qualify for unemployment. Also, the "short term disability" here is actually an insurance you have to buy and you have to buy it BEFORE you get pregnant. I'm in the same situation. Our baby was unplanned and we're relying on my income (my fiancés job is commission only and it hasn't been making any money lately). I'm sorry that I don't have an answer but if someone else does I'd love to know what it is :/
