So I have a bit of a super personal question. I really can't find much about it online. Does anyone know if it is okay to receive oral if you think that parts of your mucus plug have come out?

Good question! I didn't know about this.

Thank you guys! I'm not sure if it has been my mucus plug or if it's just an increase in discharge. it's not blood tinged but sometimes it's stringy. I already told one of my midwives and she didn't really say much about it just if I started contracting that I shouldn't wait.

@tea-chan, i agree with @mrsgoss , simply bcoz of introducing oral bacterias to a very sensative region. the mucus plug seperates the lining around the placenta, allowing your baby to start making its way out. if you used a dental damn to completely protect against the exchange of fluids id say its okay - but otherwise i wouldn't risk it!

I would say no from what I have heard from my Dr and read online.
