my family and friends and my husband's mom didn't want is to name our daughter Alex Hunter. Hunter has sentimental meaning for me. we decided to stay with the name because that's what we had decided on together.

@_rileysmommy I would Wright her a letter ✉ explaining how you felt about her asking you to change the name tell her how badly it hurt your feelings her not respecting your thoughts and she's the 👵 grandma not the the mother and if she feels so strongly against the name maybe it's best she not be present until she can cope w the name.. trust me it had bugged me for weeks! my dad took us out to dinner to express how he felt about the name ... I was so disappointed but at the end I realized it's my baby and I loved the named I picked ... so I told him thanks for caring but that was not his baby and he had his chance when he named me lol but that's a total different story... so don't be afraid to express how u feel

we somehow knew that we were having a girl from the moment I found out I was pregnant. we both wrote down a list of first name and middle name that we both wanted and the top of both of our lists was riley and jayde. lol @mamabird

the name you picked out is beautiful and the fact that you and hubby agreed on a name is really awesome, I've read on so many blogs that couples aren't agreeing with names, my oldest two are half Mexican their names are Julia and Andrew. I have a daughter that is white but named her Jalissa, which is Hispanic its usually spelled Julissa. I would keep the name you picked

I like the name u picked don't change ur mind just because a family member wants you to change it trust me I'm naming my daughter Charlotte Abigail lomeli and my dad did not like it ... so we switch it to Aubree Marie lomeli but I dnt like it ... I wanted it to stay so I just told my dad u knoe what I appreciate u helping me trying to pick a name but this is a decision between me and my boyfriend! when she is born u can nickname her what ever u want and he agreed :) just be honest

As much as you may love your mom ...your this baby's mom..and you should not change the name..YOUR the mom now and should name that baby what ever you like without anyone else saying anything about it
