I wouldn't recommend any mom to take anything not natural to induce labor because it's always a risk but I did take castor oil with my son a week before is due date and he was born healthy Nov 29th 2013 :) his birthday is sundayyyy and I'm excited
@mumof2, with my first son I tried on my due date and bam lol my 2nd son I tried 3 days before my due date and another bam lol. my sister tried and nothing. I think it gives you a jump start of your body is ready and just needs a push otherwise if your body is not ready then it will not happen.
how far along did u try this @shakia214
I would ask Dr before trying I have dr appointment tomorrow matter of fact
@mumof2, personally think you should always ask your doctor. I did so and I had to differnet doctors with each pregnancy and they both told me it would be okay. I'd rather that then to be induced any day! both babies came out fine I took a teaspoonful with orange juice with them both and within 3 hours I was in labor each time
@mumof2, I tried it with both my son's and it worked
@lp1988727, for the nurses own mouth when I went to the hospital she said that had something to do with it she had just check me that morning and I was even dilated no where near close
but your best bet is letting the baby come natural like I said before
Well I'm glad your baby was healthy. Doesn't mean everyone is so lucky. And those are real statistics from real women who had real problems. I'm glad you were lucky but it's not right to risk your child like that I'm sorry. That's my opinion. Have a good day.
@mrsschutte1323, @lp1988727 that's strictly based on what you here or was told I took it and went in labor right after and my son did not have his bowel movement and inhale it and he also didn't get poised either coming from experience it's everybody experience is different and like I stated above I would not recommend it to anybody yes its known to have risk but I will tell my story with it and I have no complications I wasnt even dilated at 39 weeks until I took the castor oil @mumof2
Yes it can happen to anyone but it's much more likely with castor oil. And just because it didn't happen to some women (thankfully) doesn't mean anyone should risk their child's health. That's all.
eggplant I never ate it before but I would give it a try @lp1988727
my son had a bowel movement when I gave birth to him and I didn't do castor oil so it can happen to anyone. @mrsschutte1323
@mumof2, @lp1988727 it can cause the baby to have its first bowel movement before birth and then it inhales its own poop and can cause major breathing problems. It's too dangerous and it causes irregular contractions. 70% of the women it "works" for would have had their baby at that time anyways. It can cause a lot of pain and problems for both mom and baby.
I just told u I'm not doing it lol I just want to know people's experiences @lp1988727
well I like opinions on people who actually experienced it. I don't want to do this method but I would like to hear experiences
OK thanks. @lp1988727 and did u actually try it???
wow that's crazy how far were u when u tried it
@mumof2, yes he was out in like 25mintues I almost had him in the car
so did the castor oil thing work for u??

Because I can't sit here and watch Bolt for the 8,000th time, let's take a trip down memory lane!
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
I need help!!! Something is wrong with my dog and I have no money or job to take him to the vet. I think hes dying idk
My husband takes his cousin girlfriend to work. Should I be worried about the FEMALE coming on to my husband?
