anybody else doctor trying to convince you to get the flu shot and the Trap vaccines?????????

I got the flu shot. I have school age kids and a toddler they always bringing somebody's germs home. I haven't had the Tdap shot yet. But when I get pregnant my immune system is always low and even with those shots (that I only get when pregnant) I still get some kind of sickness lol. Thanks Kids.... Lol

My Ob pretty much begged me to since I'm a nanny , I did it just in case cause I hate being sick

my Dr recommended it, I'm not going to tho.

@aaquino, OK thank u I honestly don't get the flu or sick but since there is a lot if ppl in my house (kids) I will go for it thanks

@amiyrasmomm844, i dont know much about the tdap but my obgyn was trying to convince me to get the flu shot aswell and hubby and i did not want to for fear of getting sick from the shot aswell well we reached out to my hubbys cousin who is a doctor for her honest opinion becaise she is family we knew she would tell us the truth and she said its very very recommend that you get it when you pregnant because if you dont get it and you end up getting the flu it almost always puts you in the hospital when your pregnant she said while she was in school for becoming a doctor she saw women all the time come in with the flu 4 of which died and they had to remove the babies and fight to save the babies so im gonna get mine at my next appointments cause i did get the flu really bad last year and i havent gotten the shot in probably 5 years idk if that helps at all but i hope everything works out!!

Well as long as nothing has happened yet. Good luck to you and your children. The world has only survived this long because people have gotten vaccinated. Now the awful diseases are coming back because people think it's a good idea to ignore their doctor. If you don't want people to be honest with you don't ask for advice. :) best wishes!

I mean ultimately its your choice to get it.. I'm going to ask to get it now since I know I get sick during fall/winter easy.

I'm supposed to get mine next wed but after thinking about it and doing a lot of research on it im not gonna get the flu shot and will only get the tdap after delivery like I did with my other 2 babies. I know someone who had a wonderful pregnancy the whole time then got those shots at 35 weeks and her baby died shortly after getting them. It's not worth the risk, if you are a normally heathy person. Imo

I asked my doctor about the flu shot and they said it is highly recommend due to the fact that woman's body's don't act the same way when their pregnant. so say tour for sick before you were pregnant, nothing really bad but if you get the flu now it will send you to the hospital and cause problems during the pregnancy .

@mrsschutte1323, I didn't get those shots with my first born so I don't see if happening so that'll just be on me u or the doctor can't convince me of doing something I've been through thank u

yeah it's a personal choice...whatever you decide is fine at the end of the day it's your baby its just the drs job to tell you to get it @amiyrasmomm844

Both shots never made my arm hurt at all

I'd say get the tdap but not the flu! Tdap prevent whooping cough which is very deadly to babies especially if you're due during winter season. I got both but I regret getting the flu because I don't believe in the flu shot but I let my doc pressure me into it and now I'm worried about how my baby could be affected 😕

Too each their own but the vaccines actually do their jobs. Flu shot is iffy but pretty much all the other vaccines do their jobs. So if your baby gets measles or polio because you read some bad reviews that's on you.

@nerdmamatn, @mrsschutte1323 I'll get that tdap but I'm not doing the flu shot I seen a lady that got the flu shot on the news and can't walk or stand all the way up till this day!

yeah, it's supposed to be better for baby when they're born since they can't get the shots themselves for a while. it's supposed to help them build up an immunity.

Your doctor knows what's better for you and your baby then a bunch of people online. It's just like cars can kill you. Don't drive. You can get sick so don't get the shots.

I got mines ...flu wasn't bad but that tdap had my arm swollen n sore for a few days

@mrsschutte1323, I don't wanna get the flu shot cause it makes u sick and everybody's different and can cause problems I'm gonna read the reviews on the tdap tho
