if I'm coming off as "boo hoo, poor me" that's not what I'm getting at. But when I do see that crap it bothers me. And the days where my back/nerve is hurting me really bad and I have to walk halfway across the parking lot, I get t annoyed by it. No, I do always have the pain. And it also bothers me because I know that there are people who actually do need the parking. And yeah I complain about that too. I'm not entitled to anything just because I'm pregnant. I never said that. But I do have an opinion and not everyone has to like it.

@mommychina_, if that were always an option, then sure. If I didn't have to run out, I wouldn't. And if I had somebody to do it for me, I would.

@karissaxo, some people take things waaayyyy out of context. I know what you're saying but I also know what the other ladies are getting at. There are about 3 stores where I live that have maternity parking. I didn't use it until I was like 30+ weeks. I hope your pain goes away soon!😊

I have such a hard time walking most days during this pregnancy but I suck it up because this thing called pregnancy is temporary, I'll gladly park in the furthest spot and waddle and wince my way into the store. because I know there are people worse then me who need those spots. I do agree however that stores need to have added security in the parking lots to spot those "in and out" people who steal handicapped parking like teens often do. do I think pregnancy parking needs to be a thing? not necessarily unless it's coupled with an actual handicap like sciatic nerve damage or god forbid seizures, ect.

@karissaxo sorry everyone took it the same way... I now understand your post intentionally meant "I truly wish everywhere had maternity parking as an option right next to handicap parking" and you wouldn't have offended anyone 👌☺️

I'm not crying because I don't have a handicapped tag? I never once said that. But I do feel that there should be optional maternity parking for expectant mothers who may also have a harder time walking. If that's not how y'all took my post, then my bad.

@rainbowbaby2016, @rookiemom I don't judge people who legitimately need to use the handicapped parking, and I'm aware that they're not all physical. But I've seen it so many times, these young kids roll up, swing into the closest handicapped spot they can find (and no, they don't have their handicapped tag in their rear view) jump out and waltz right into the store.@mommychina_, no I don't have a handicapped tag. I don't need one. But yes, it pisses me off a little bit when I see these people doing this.

@mommychina_, glad my point was spotted. Pregnancy is not a handicap. @rookiemom, you're absolutely right. I have the tag. I don't look physically disabled, but I've had 4 brain tumors. I also have a grandmother who is an amputee. People probably get mad at us all the time but not a single flip is given. Plus I don't throw a fit when the spaces are filled, nor do I leave home if I'm feeling sickly enough to cry about it.

@mommychina_, my doctor actually offered one to me! I turned it down, 9 months of pain and the blessing at the end is nothing compared to people with lupus, or cancer, or even worse... Imagine if someone had a baby in a car seat with a critical health condition parking far away to walk through this cold weather into a pharmacy without a drive through. Americans need to be more sympathetic in general. We're all in this together.

If you don't have the sticker or tag, you'd have been just as wrong. Pregnancy pains don't entitle us to handicapped parking. Sorry to sound witchy but that's a losing battle.

If they had a sticker up for handicap, then they must have had a reason. Not all handicaps are physical.

Agreed with @rainbowbaby2016 & @rainbowbaby2016 this is an incredibly offensive post... My comment comes from me being a pregnant woman with a cane, two walkers, and a condition that merits my health for a handicap sticker... BUT I choose to park in an open spot praying seniors or someone who is in more pain than I am can walk a shorter distance than I have to. You can't judge a handicap by the way a person walks.

some handicaps aren't physical. judging others isn't gonna make the situation better.

@harleyadtr, I'm fully aware of that. And I'm also aware that walking is good for pregnant women, but not when I'm having severe sciatic nerve pain, or intense round ligament pain. Plus, half of the people I see parking in handicapped spots don't even need it.

You're pregnant... Not handicapped... Besides, walking is good for us preggie mommies!
