I'm a first time mommy and I don't have any other mommy friends or girlfriends. Most of my friends are dudes. I had planned on strickly breastfeeding when I give birth to my little monster in may, but I don't know how long I should do it for since I don't want to mess with formulas. I also don't know much since I am a lonely mother. I've considered taking the breastfeeding classes but I really don't know when is to soon to take them or if I should wait until I'm further along in my pregnancy.
its recommended to breast feed exclusively for 6 months. Get breastfeeding books. theres one that I read called "so thats what theyre for" that really is helping me breastfeed my daughter.
it's good to take the classes now and even later to brush up. plus you have us to talk yo and ask questions.
I think breast-feeding classes is good idea , they teach you how to do it correctly and teach you do it without any pain and so on.. besides there are a lot of future mom's whom you can contact with. I think you'll find a lot of common topics for conversation )) if I was you, I would ask people working for breastfeeding classes to recommend me when it is better to start. I think it depends on long of the length of the course.
I took the class a month before she was born helped out a lot also helped me make the decision to strictly breastfeed
