So I'm 16 weeks pregnant my mom keeps telling me not to buy anything for the baby to wait till my baby shower. I just feel like I'm going to be under prepared if I wait that long.
any advice?

get the typical things like 1of each just cuz I have a shower doesn't mean ppl will get what u want I had 2 boxes of diapers a thousand wipes diaper cream and my bath stuff. you can also just get gift cards in case
We haven't bought too much. Our baby shower covered A LOT of stuff. Saved us so much money on clothes and diapers and everything. The only things we had to get ourselves was our bassinet, a baby monitor, a car seat, and breast pump. Otherwise, everyone else got us stuff.
I would buy a few things, clothes, or just things that you really like. Just things that are always bought at baby showers don't buy. (Ex. Bath tub, soaps, ect)
we just started getting baby furniture and I'm 33 weeks, you'll get a lot at your shower tho
I mean you could always save up if she insists but it won't hurt to buy here and there
I waited and we got pretty much everything. waiting does help.
